Ella’s Kitchen delicious parsnip and lentil dahl

Great for introducing exciting new flavours. Puree for babies of 6 months or can be used with finger foods from 7 months
Ingredients
- 2 Ella’s Kitchen Parsnips, Parsnips, Parsnips pouches (or 1 large chopped parsnip)
- 400g canned green lentils
- 1 red onion, very finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic (optional)
- ½tsp ground cumin
- 1tsp mild curry powder
Method
- If using fresh parsnips, steam or boil over a medium heat for 10-12 minutes until tender.
- Heat some oil over a medium heat, add chopped onion and garlic.
- When the onion has softened, add spices, parsnip and half of the lentils.
- When the mix comes up to temperature blend until smooth.
- Add the remaining lentils to the mix. If a smooth texture is required, blend all of the lentils down into the dahl.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon.
